New User Silverfast won't start

Hello,
I have just bought a Reflecta RPS 7200 and Silverfast SE.
Running Mountain Lion with 16 Gb RAM on a 2011 MacBook Pro
I have installed the drivers with the latest version of Cyberview 5.10.2 (seems only way to get the drivers. The bundled disk needed Rosetta.)
The scanner works with Cyberview, but without ICE.
I already had v**s**n which works fully, including ICE.
But when I launch Silverfast, I get the initial screen and it shows the scanner, but when I click next, expecting to get the activation page, I get a message saying there is a "problem staring your scanner. Please make sure your drivers are installed correctly."
What I have found so far says SE is compatible with Mountain Lion, but also that a new version will be issued.
Is the problem perhaps the Cyberview drivers not being compatible with Mountain Lion? If so why does v**s**n work correctly?
Any help most welcome!
Thanks
