trying to get a quick start scanning some old kodacolor negatives.
i have the film in the scanner emulsion side down, as instructed, but the image is reversed (as if it were emulsion side up).
are the instructions wrong? i cannot find a simple button to reverse the image.
any clues?

Dear customer,
the third button from the top (two arrows) in the preview window is the button to reverse the image.
Best regards

While I can always flip/rotate an image, I would like to know that if I arrange film strips in the Nikon 9000 carrier (two rows of 6 frames), that the top left image in the thumbnails is the top left frame in the carrier, and that the orientation matches. Is there a default orientation switch so that I see what is in the the carrier as I mounted it? It would make batches easier to set up, too.

I can not tell by rot, by the best way would be to check the order in which you put the images in the holder and then opening the overview to see in what way it is read by the scanner.
Cheers

That's what I do, but it's not convenient. I have a suggestion for a new feature -- exact representation of what the scanner sees. Film scanners detect the carrier being used. If that information is available via the driver, represent the frames in that carrier as they are seen by the scanner's photosensors. Then, for two-strip holders like the Nikon 9000's, allow the pre-scan to be done for one strip, rather than having to sit there and stop the pre-scan after the first strip. The Nikon holder is a design disaster, making it nearly impossible to align two strips in it at once. This feataure would save a fair amount of headache.

Dear Eric,
I gave this suggestion to our developers. Maybe it will come in a further
update.
