Has somebody try to test Sierra and Silverfast?
Is this working?

I did the upgrade today. I'm using a Plustek 120 and Silverfast Ai Studio and I haven't had any trouble with the software. It's scanning 120 beautifully. :) What scanner/version are you using?

I'm using a Plustek 120 with Silverfast Ai Studio. I have a v700 but haven't tested it, but with the Plustek 120 it's running perfectly fine with zero issues except for the normal ones that were happening before on El Capitan.

Does anyone else have a Plustek 120 and deal with things like how the software will freeze if the scanner falls asleep. It won't be able to prescan so I have to force quit Silverfast and reopen it. Other issues I had before that still exist is Multiple Exposure doesn't work on Medium Format shots and at times the iSRD won't work. I definitely dealt with these issues before MacOS Sierra, but was wondering if anyone else have these similar issues?

Hope this helps!

What scanner do you use @kniewo?

Dear user please re-download the latest update and install it again.
We have just included a workaround for systems where the App-Nap ignore does not work correctly.

Kind regards,
Arne

I am having a problem with SilverFast starting. The app will open, I can see the program screen, but a window pops up in front that says "SilverFast 8 - Professional Scanner Software - Get Instant Help with SilverFast's Movie Function." I can't get this window to go away, and it is preventing me from being able to use the program at all.

I've downloaded the very latest version of the software (8.8.0r6).

I'm running it on a MacBook Pro with Sierra.

Dear user,

have you set a different browser then Safari to be your default browser?

If yes please try switching back to Safari as the default browser. Then try starting SilverFast. If the movie starts now let it run once. It ill not come up again. Afterwards you can switch back to an alternative browser.

If this is not the case please contact us by opening the help menu in the menu bar while the Welcome screen is open and selecting "Request online support".

Kind regards,
Arne

I am having the exact same issue. New macbook pro with touchbar and running sierra. Just installed Studio 8.8 to it and when i loaded it for the first time got this splash screen that i can't close and stops me using the app.

Further to this (and my, as yet, unallowed posts on this thread) I think the issue could be the fact that the new MacBook pros only have usb-c ports and so there is no way to connect to the epson v700 without use of a dongle. Does this sound right? And how do i ever solve this now that I can never connect usb-2 to my MacBook pro directly?

Dear user,

Does your touch bar offer the ESC-key when this happens?
clicking it should close the window.

Normally USB-C and an adapter should work.
In case you have any troubles try different USB-c ports.
They are not necessary all equal and might offer different functions. There could be ones that work better then others.
Also make sure you have installed the latest SilverFast update from our website and the latest EPSON Scan utility driver from EPSON.

Kind regards,
Arne

Hi,

I can't get the demo version to work on my USB-C macbook. I tried all the ports and I have the latest Epson driver.
Is it the update?

Greets,
Melvin

Dear Melvin,

make sure you using the latest SilverFast 8.8 update from our website.

Make sure the scanner is shown in the macOS System Report.
Apple Symbol -> About this Mac -> System Report... -> Hardware/USB
In case it is not shown there check the connection and try a different cable.

If that does not help please contact us through the SilverFast Help menu's "Request online support" enty.

Kind regards,
Arne
