LaserSoft Imaging

Hi,

I live in France, and am looking at purchasing either the Plustek 120 or Plustek 8200i.
According to digit-photo.com (the seller I intend to buy from), these models come with Silverfast Studio AI 8.
I'm worried that if I get one of these scanners that the Silverfast Studio AI 8 won't work, and that I will be forced to upgrade.

Therefore, I have the following questions:
- if I get one of these scanners, will I be entitled to a free upgrade to 8.5 and following that up to 8.9999x (i.e. all versions of 8.x), or would I have to pay an upgrade fee ?
- is Silverfast Studio AI 8 compatible with EL Captain ?
- assuming Silverfast AI 8 is not compatible with EL Captain, is 8.5 compatible ?

Additionally, I have access to Windows 7 via boot camp and Windows 10 on a PC, so if none of the answers above is yes, are Silverfast Studio AI 8 and 8.5 fully compatible with the 64 bit editions of Windows 7 and Windows 10 ?

Updates within SilverFast 8 are free.
The latest SilverFast 8 update is compatible with OS X 10.11 for both the Plustek OF 120 and OF 8200i.
To make sure you directly get the latest drivers, simply download the latest updates from our website and install them directly.
Our "updates" are always full installation files.

I got my OF120 today, and got the latest 8.x SW running well on my iMac.
