Hi,
Plustek 8500i does not scan . only "unknown error" messages.
What's wrong with SF8.5 and newest OS X?

We also just have gotten the final version of OS X 10.11 and have began our testing.
Therefor we have not yet declared official SilverFast 8 support for this operating system.
There have bee several reports about USB devices not properly working under OS X 10.11.
We are currently examining these issues.

Just checking to see if you had a delivery date for a solution to this problem. Also running into the "unknown error" with a Plustek OpticFilm 7600i, Silverfast 8, on OS X 10.11. Thanks.

Its always a risk upgrading at the first opportunity. In the meantime I have rolled back to Yosemite - very easy using Time Machine. And I can also have fun watching all the bugs coming flying out of El Capitan !!

I use a Plustek 8100 with El Capitan. First the scanner worked half of the time. Now it's only doing the pre-scan. It will not scan anymore. I really really really hope the update will come soon.

Thank you for acknowledging that there is an issue with using SilverFast under OSX El Capitan.

Just to record I am another sufferer of this problem using SilverFast 8.5.0r8 with a Plustek OpticFilm 8200i. As others have reported the pre-scan works and the first scan works but then fails with "unknown error" message before ISRD scan.

Looking forward to update since old slide conversion/archiving exercise now on hold.

Just installed latest El Capitan updates, still no fix for the problem. Any update on Plusteks new drivers?

This issue has been fixed by Plustek.

The newest drivers are included in our latest update.
