Simple Slide Archiving Workload Settings

I am a new AI Studio user with an Epson V750. I also have PSE 8 and Lightroom. I want to simply archive thousands of slides to DVD for viewing on my High Definition Television (and my HD Computer monitor). I have mainly Kodachrome slides and some Ektachrome. I would like to do as little editing as possible, all in Studio if possible. However, I am confused about the appropriate workflow and settings.
(1) Should I scan at 48 bit color or 48-24 bit color or some other setting? I have seen conflicting information on this.
(2) I believe my output resolution should be 3200 dpi since this is the optimum resolution of my Epson V750 and a Qfactor of 1.5. Is there something that I should also be setting in the Scaling or other parameters since I know I want to view these on a TV screen (versus printing)?
(3) After I scan and save the files, should I use PSE 8 or Lightroom to put them on DVD? Or is there an easier way that avoids these programs?
Appreciate any guidance that you can give me on setting and my workload.

Hi Jentucson

I believe we have addressed this question many times before. Here is one thread: http://forum.silverfast.com/post20563.html?hilit=dvd#p20563

We also have an article on our blog describing this process: http://blog.silverfast.com/silverfast-quick-tip-scanning-for-tv/

You should not use PSE8 nor Lightroom to burn a DVD, you should use a normal DVD burning application, nowadays your operating system is capable of this task without having to install any other app.

Cheers
