The new download sequence for updates is not helpful. The previous one was much better designed.

both have their qualities: the previous one was easier for those who know exactly what they need, however for newcomers it was looking too loaded. The new procedure needs more clicks (what you and me dislike), but is easier to be explained, what is also important.

Good news - the new version of SilverFast will itself figure out what's updated so you'll be freed of such manual work

Its still to many clicks to check for a new version. The olde interface was much more user friendly. The new one is just a hassle.
