Can some body shine a bit more light on my problem, have sent 4 or 5 E-Mail to laersoft, but am getting no were.
Im trying to download the up grade for silver fast HDR and its telling me that my password is wrong, Thing is, cant be wrong im putting this post in, which requires that very same password. I have tryed changing my password and stiil no luck.Has any body else had this problem and how was it resolved.
Am i doing any thing wrong? Some one please help.

Thanks for the replie, have checked the privet message board and can only see a old message. Am i right in thinking that my user name is darkblue23. If so again it gives me access to the forum when used with the password but not to the download.

I have just reregisted my product, and have been given a new password and user id, but i can still not down load the new up date for HDR. I tryed down loading a old up grade for reading tiff files on the down load page and this seemed to work. I tryed this earlier and it was not working so some thing is happning any help

Kirk,
The phrase you gave is NOT your user name.
The download area has 3 or 4 sections for different iterations of Silverfast - YOU (I assume) want version HDR 5.5 The page is:

From you messages it's now no longer clear at which point you are having problems. Again check the Private Message area for your User Nmae and Password. They ARE different and will NOT be useable for downloading versions prior to version 5.5

Hi Kirk and Ian,
I have the same problem as Kirk. SF does not recognize my username and password. Strangely enough I was able to get the demo of HDR (which leaves watermarks), but when I tried to get the actual update I was denied access. BTW I wanted to get the 48 bit/ HDR upgrade for Windows platform and Photoshop ("SF Ai v 5.5 update").
Since I own SF 5.5 I thought I was eligible for the download.
Might there be a technical problem on SF's site?

The user name and password fro SF55 is NOT the same as earlier versions, so using them is pointless. You should have obtained a new user name and password for EACH version of SilverFast that you registered, i.e: own a Nikon then the user name and password is UNIQUE to the Nikon download page. Same for Epson, Polaroid, etc. etc.
I have just checked ALL of the above and HDR and they ALL work for EVERY possible download configuration, i.e Windows Plug-in & Twain, likewise for Mac. If you can't get access to the download you aren't using the correct user name and password.
If you are using the save password feature of Internet Explorer try disabling it and re-enter your details

That is the same id and password that i was given when i recived HDR its is in front of me now as it was all yesterday when i tryed to down load the up grade(From the right web page)and it did not work.I even had my wife have a try it to prove to my self that things were not right.12 Hours latter it now seems to work, as Grischa has said there may be some problem at lasersofts end.
Things though are still not well. Now i have down loaded the new HDR up grade, i can not Actavate the IT8 calibration. Again i am sure that i am doing every thing right. I am going to (i) then credits then upgrade. Using the serial on the CD box that has lasersoft IT8 option On( the same as i used on original installation). Again the wifes double checked every thing, and still no go. I am sure I am not that technically inept

Kirk,
before you can activate IT8 you must already have inserted the original SF55 serial number. Then exit SF55 and insert the "Feature CD". Restsrt HDR and via the credits dialog Upgrade the serial number. The Feature CD MUST be in the drive before IT8 will be activated. Also rememebr that the IT8 serial number for version 5.0 and 5.2 is NOT the same as Sf55. I was caught that way, but it was quickly resolved.

Have tried what you said, but still no luck (That music is driving me mad). I am upgrading from SF55 so I presume the serial numbers the same. Why would you have to put the feature CD in as all I can see is PDF files, IT8 reference files and some tiff files.
Again if you could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.
