is there any reason why silverfast doesn't support png files? In my opinion these are an ideas format because of lossless compression and platform independent format. jpeg2000 is not widely known yet!

In future version we like to support png format, but this is not planed for the current SilverFast 6.5 version. Png is currently known as web graphic format, even when it could do more than that.
