I have a OpticFilm 7200 35mm slide scanner. Is there any calibration medium for this scanner?

Dear CVG

no target, no IT8 calibration (<a href="https://www.silverfast.com/highlights/it8/en.html">here</a>'s why and <a href="http://www.computer-darkroom.com/sf6-it8/sf6_1.htm">how</a>). With a Plustek 7200 you usually get bundle <a href="https://www.silverfast.com/show/silverfast-se/en.html">SilverFast SE</a>, but the IT8 calibration feature is only available with SilverFast Ai, so you'll need to upgrade your version.

No IT8 target - no IT8 calibration - that is true, but that does not mean no calibration at all. Most slide scanners do so automatically by scanning a blank area (removing the target from the light path) prior the scanning.
Such two-point calibration does not provide the capabilities of a calibration like IT8, which does also cover non-linearities an other effects.

For unknown reason, I have found the IT8 calibration not leading to neutral colors, so I used the IT8 calibration as a basic calibration and had to readjust the settings afterwards.
