Re: OpticFilm 7200 Scanning night photos from Transparencies

I wonder if anyone has also experienced this problem : When scanning tranparencies of night photos (with areas of light and deep shadow), the Quickscan function crops off top/bottom/sides of some slides. It has even occurred with 1 or 2 daylight shots. It seems the pre-scan decides the dark areas are not part of the image, and crops them off?
Is there a way to get around this, whilst still using the QuickScan mode?
Thanks,
Steve

Dear Steve

is this the SilverFast software you're using when activating the Quickscan function, or another manufacturer's piece of software.
In the latter case, unfortunately you need to address some other company for help with this.

Whilst auto-cropping mishaps aren't that rare occurances with images that have darkish borders, however, there isn't such a feature in the SilverFast versions for the OpticFilm 7200.
