LaserSoft Imaging

I have an issue when I am scanning dense negatives. The mid tones have vertical lines running through them. They do not appear in lighter and darker parts of the image. Is this a hardware issue?

The vertical lines are not present on the negatives to be clear.

that is difficult to say without seeing the issue. but lines in scan direction are most likely a device issue. Make sure you are using the latest driver and SilverFast version. On a Mac the driver will automatically be updated by SilverFast. On PC please download it from the Plustek website.
