Broken pattern in images

Hi
I have a Plustek OpticFilm 7500i scanner and have just installed the latest version of Silverfast SE Plus 8. With the Workflow Pilot on, I selected Kodachrome for the slide and Dust/Scratch Removal. It ran fine, but the final image has a broken colour pattern on the fuselage of the aircraft (see attachment). I have had this problem before with other scans and gave up in the end as I never found a solution. I had hoped the latest update would have corrected the problem but not so. Please advise how to solve this problem.
Regards
Paul

Dear customer,

This can happen with very dense film material when the dark areas are so dense that they block the infrared beam.

You can check this using the infrared image.
To do so first activate the 1:1/HQ mode.
Then hold the following keys while clicking on the main preview.
Windows: <shift> and <Ctrl>
Mac: <shift> and <command>

The image will change to a B&W representation of the infrared channel.
It should only show dust and scratches as dark areas. No parts of the image or other structures should be visible.
If they are they would be detected as defects.
If shown only very faint reducing the detection can help.
Otherwise you might have to switch to the software sided SRDx.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
