Getting 7500i SE to work with Windows 8

I've upgraded my pc from Vista to Windows 8. I have downloaded what I think is the correct driver and loaded the 32bit option.
I'm unable to load the Silverfast 6.6 software. Do I need to upgrade the software? Any help greatly appreciated.

Dear Jayne,
Windows 8 requires at least
SilverFast 8.0.
Older SilverFast 6 versions are not supported.

I have purchased the Silverfast 8 upgrade and all is working now!
