I have Elite 5400 (not II)
Intel Mac OS X Leopard to downgrade OS X Tiger, Because you said Not yet support Leopard.

I Tried OS X Tiger, Silverfast 6.5.5r3 install.
Firewire, USB both not running.
But connection is Right.

My mac of Laguage setting is English. But Error meassage is portugal??

well, your scanner is not yet officially claimed to be supported by SilverFast running on a Leopard system:

To learn additional details of scanner support, please always consult:
> Support > Supported scanners > Manufacturer > Model

Use latest version of SilverFast 6.4 to check if the Portugese-English problem disappears; also, please delete the SF Prefs prior updating.
On a typical Mac OS X installation, the SilverFast "Prefs" folder is to be found at:
/ User / (your username) / Library / Preferences / LaserSoft Imaging / SilverFast /

Where is fast versions of silverfast 6.5 download?
I remember 6.5.2 was running on OS X Tiger.

and where download of versions 6.4 download?

I Tried Latest versions of Silverfast 6.4.4r7a on OS X Leopard.
It is Just good working on Leopard!!!

and,
Not Universal Lancher version of past 6.5 was good working on Tiger!!
but now, Latest versions of 6.5 is not running.

I pay as you go for upgrade from 6.4 version to 6.5

I hope use my silverfast 6.5 version on OS X Leopard.
