FS4000US & Mountain Lion

I have an iMac running Mountain Lion
I also have an old canon FS4000Us proving flaky under v**s**n.
Silverfast has no support beyond 6.6 which won't run on Mountain Lion. Silverfast 8 runs on Mountain Lion but doesn't support my scanner.
Can anyone say if FS4000US support will be included in SF 8 in the future?

Dear Johnroy,
unfortunately there is no plan for
SilverFast 8 for this scanner in the moment, but maybe it will come in the future.
Best regards

Hi,
so far I used SilverFast AI Studio 8 with my DigitDia 5000 but now I run into some APS-Rolls and some negative stripes. Things the DG 5000 can't do.
I happen to also have a Canon FS4000US, which I would like to use now.
Is SF 8 already supporting this scanner? It would be very helpful if it did.
Best regards.

Dear customer,
The
Canon FS4000US is supported by SilverFast 6.6.
SilverFast 8 is not available at the moment because the scanner lacks the necessary drivers for current operating systems.
kind regards,

Dear Mr Hetelhohn,
thank you for the reply.
So, what does this mean to me now?
As I own a licence for the SF 8, I guess that I can not use the 6.6 version ... How can I solve this issue?
There seem to be drivers for the OS, as v**s**n scans out of the box.
Best regards.

Dear customer,
You can have
SilverFast 8 and 6.6 installed on the same computer.
Only the operating system must be supported.
Other software uses custom drivers for the scanner.
The Operating System does not contain any drivers.
SilverFast however requires manufacturer drivers so we can access the scanner's advanced functions.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
