Silverfast 8 HDR marquee tool
Got a problem when I turn set scan mode to 48 bit HDR the marquee tool no longer rotates at all. If you switch the scan mode to 48 bit non hdr the red marquee tool rotates properly. Can anyone else confirm?

Dear Shekwork,
that is a normal behavior. The rotation is not available in the HDR mode. You can scan the complete area and cut a rotated frame in the software SilverFast HDRStudio.
Best regards

Re: Silverfast 8 HDR marquee tool
Why was this feature removed from version 6.6? Can this feature please be re-enabled in the next release for people who use the standalone version and not the HDR studio beta?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Shekwork
This is not about the HDR Studio beta. it is about the ability to free rotate the scan frame in the scan software when scanning in HDR/HDRi modes (as seen in the screenshot of Ai Studio
.
In SilverFast 6.6 no changes have been performed.
Kind regards

Dear Shekwork,
the sense of the HDR mode is to get a image that is raw and without changes. A rotation changes the image data, because it will be interpolate.
I have noted your request. If there will be additional requests from other customers, we will probably install it again in a later release.
Best regards

Re: Silverfast 8 HDR marquee tool
The ability to rotate when scanning to HDR is a feature I think is critical.
If a slide is slightly rotated on the scanner, I will need to rotate this at some point, either during the scan or post-scan processing..
If I don't rotate during the scan, I have to include more of the black outline of the slide to make sure I have all of the slide detail.
This adds extra information to the HDR file.
If I use the HDR file in HDR Studio as a master to create different versions, since I can't save to the HDR master, I have to rotate and crop the image every time. This means that the rotation and cropping of each version will be off. This can cause issues, for example if imported to Photoshop as layers which I want to line up.
