I'd like to see a higher quality preview image for the SE version. The 4X setting on my Epson 5.5Ai version is great. I'd add an SE version to another scanner I have, if it had the a better preview image. It is hard to judge the adjustments I am making with the demo version, so I have to re-scan too many times to get what I want I wanted.

Peter.

I am not sure, what you mean by "4x setting". If you mean the setting of the "high resolution preview" in the option dialog to "4x", then please note the following:

1. high resolution preview is available in Ai versions.
2. high resolution preview is available in demo versions.
3. high resolution preview is NOT available in SE versions.

The reason why this feature is not available in SE versions is, that there must be a difference between Ai and SE (else nobody would pay for Ai;).
However, you should be able to test the feature with the demo version for your other scanner.

Eric, maybe off-topic for this section of the forum, but on-topic in the discussion: What other differences are there between Ai and SE? I can't seem to find that anywhere on the site.

Thanks!

Thank you :)

Looking at the lists, is it safe to say that the difference between Ai and SE lies mostly in greater color correction control?
