To achieve the best focus when scanning mounted slides (35mm), at least on flatbed scanners, one has to make a scan frame that avoids any of the film holder edges. Since many slide holders have rounded corners, I find it necessary to make scan frames somewhat smaller than the entire visible transparency, thus losing some of the image. I would hope it is possible to make an option to have rounded frame corners, rather then the present squared corners. This would permit the capture of the slide "edge-to-edge," while also allowing the scanner to focus accurately.

I second this idea!
