Is it possible to make the curves adjustment window like photoshop so that when you move the cursor over a part of the image it shows up on the curves line. I find this very useful in photoshop even nikon scan has it!

Indication of densitometer readings on curves

We have got something similar. If you press the shift key and click into the image, an control point is fixed in the image (the function is the same in Photoshop - up to four control points possible).
When you now open the gradation curves dialog, you will see the values indicated for the RGB or CMY values on the curves.
