Dear Dominik,
at the moment we are not working on supporting the G4050 for Mac but I would like to encourage all customers who are interested in having this Scanner supported on Mac OSX to post in this topic so that we have an overview. You must understand that this particular Scanner is quite complex as it differs a lot form other HP Scanners currently on the market an would take quite an effort to support.

I have a HP G4050 and a macbook pro with Snow Leopard. I really love to have the program compatible with this scanner. Is that possible? Or should I lose hope?

maybe the solution is to used virtual PC and switch between mac and PC
when scanning with the G4050
I think is the only solution
if they have not made it compatible until now the want
to bad is a really good flat bad to scan contact sheet
with bad original software

Dear Customer,
of course it could work to use virtualization software like virtual box, VM Ware Fusion or Parallels.
I already tested some scanners with VWWare Fusion and it worked just fine, however this is something that is
not officially supported.
