Lamp Control on Nikon 9000

I recently purchased the SilverFast Archive Suite after running a demo version which had the lamp control for my scanner, the Nikon 9000. I was saddened to see that this feature was removed from the full version that I paid for. With the Nikon scanner software this is a feature I used extensively and I was happy to see it retained in the demo, as well as the video lauding the capability. It was instrumental in my eventual purchase.

Is there some technical difficulty that prevents this feature from being implemented? Is it possible to revert to the demo version so that I can utilize this feature?

Thank you.

Dear Customer,

the demo you tried must have been an old version of SilverFast prior to SilverFast 6.6.

The old version was based on the Nikon Maid Library which Nikon does not support with OSX Leopard.
So our development Team did a native implementation of the low level driver.
The Lamp Control was a feature of the Maid library which is not available in the Leopard compatible version anymore.

i do not use the Leopard version ( i assume ME is there) , but wouldn't the multi-exposure feature address what we used to use the "led lamp on time control" for ?
