Hi, please forgive me if this is an old tired topic.
I am scanning a series of microfilm images held on 35mm strips - the images are monochrome.
For the first time today I used batch processing on an Epson Flatbed 4870 scanner.
I loaded the holder with the film strips.
I had Silverfasy Ai Studio select the frames automatically - OK so far.
Never having used the batch processing before I assumed that having set the parameters for the first frame it would copy the same for all the rest.
I then scanned the other frames automatically. My fist frames resolution was set to 2400dpi. Imagine my concern when all the other frames were scanned at 228dpi!
I then found the instructions for setting up the frames in the trouble shooting guides. Thank you for those.

My request is:
that having set up the first frame, after selecting the frames to be scanned
that either by default or an optional choice all the other frames replicate the first frame's setting.
leaving the user to change these before scanning if so required.

Every frame has individual settings.
If you change the settings for one frame this will not change other frames.

There are several ways to fix this:

1.) saving/loading frame-settings.
-select the frame you already prepared.
-save the frame setting
open the Setting: pull-down menu

and select save

give the setting a name and click OK.


- now select a different frame, which so far does not have the right settings.
open the Setting: pull-down menu again and select the saved setting


- do this for every frame which needs this or another saved setting.

2.) copying frames.

- you can copy a frame and its settings by pressing [alt]key and cklicking into an empty portion of the image.
- this however will not work with the automatic frame recognition. you will have to position every individual frame.

3.) setting a frame setting as a standard for SilverFast.

- save a frame setting like I explained above.
- open the options menu.
- select the general tab and open the Default Settings pull-down menu.
- select the settings want to use as standard frame settings.


- now all new frames will have the selected settings.
All Manually and automatically created ones.

As an alternative one could use Job manager to apply the settings to all images in a job.
