Vista 64 bit support

I don't have Vista yet, but I'm in need of a new computer in the new future and I have become very much aware that most computers ship with 64 bit Vista. When I looked up the price of Silverfast I was very dismayed to see that 64 bit Vista is not supported. I cannot invest in any software that does not support 64 bit Vista.

Dear dnewhous,

at the moment we are looking into the possibilty of making more SilverFast compatible with Vista 64 but this will takes some time and also depends on the availability of a driver for the scanner.

best regards,

I support the wish list request.

I have just to Photoshop CS4 new hardware and vista 64.
I downloaded the demo version to try if it runs in any compatibility mode.
Unfortunately it could not detect the scanner.

I can imagine that with CS4 capabilities, quite a number of people will want to upgrade to 64 bit system.

Best regards

Hello.

So you just looking at the possibility, huh?

I'm a professional fotographer and registered Silverfast user with Epson V750 Pro scanner. I'm very disappointed at the slow speed of development of the 64-bit version. I haven't been able to use Silverfast on my new system which has only the 64-bit OEM version of Vista. I'm not interested in setting up multiple OS versions to be able to use just one software on it.

Epson has had Vista 64 compatible version of their Epson Scan for some time now (and drivers naturally). However, it's very limited software, and would rather use the software I've paid for.

Please keep in my mind, that most professional imaging software today comes in 64-bit flavor, or are at least compatible with 64-bit Windows.
