multiexposure and multisampling at the same time

Please add the ability to use multiexposure and multisampling at the same time. Areas of my kodachrome slides that are truly black (when I use flash, for example) turn out greenish and have vertical noise lines from the CCD. Multisampling alleviates this, but then I don't get the benefit of multiexposure in the rest of the frame. Also, what happened to the 4X multiexposure option?

Dear troyb
Cf.
Version history for 6.5.0r5:
>>
REMOVED:
Multi-Exposure: 4x
Multi-Exposure no longer existent. Could have alignment issues in certain cases without improving the image above what 2x Multi-Eposure already does.

Dear troy,
did you compare test scans made with Multi-Exposure only and with MultiSampling only?
Could you provide me with (small cuts from) such sample scans?
Best regards
Martin
Should in theory work

Martin:
It took me a while to figure it out, but, to get rid of the green lines, I just increased the exposure. It appears to me that multiexposure had nothing to do with it. I have seen several posts at photo.net that complain of scanners being poorly designed when actually they just need to turn up the gain. Still, shouldn't multisampling, in theory, benefit each scan pass?
