I'am a user of SF DC Pro Studio. After one year of working with this program and comparing it with other RAW converters I have some suggestions for you .. May be you find some of them useful.
First
I often open a test image with the calibration card (I use 4 square grey pattern) to make initial color adjustment. Than i usually save the settings. But if I want to change something with colors in these settings I need to remember exactly letter by letter the name of the previous setting save to overwrite it. The idea is to change it in your program in a way like in the normal file management application. Just click save, then choose previous setting save to overwrite it and click OK. It will save time and improve comfort with work with SF.
Second
I would like to use VLT to apply those setting to several images. I would like to choose file that I just edited in RAW, copy RAW settings (potom panel) and editig settings (upper panel) and apply them to other pictures. I cannot do it in that simple way. I need to use rather sophisticateg Job manager which is not as intuitivr and simple as the procedure i described.
Third
Than I would like to process those files in batch process. Of course I can doi also now, but again I would like to mark pictures in VLT than click one button called "batch" choose paramenters of the process and click OK. Today it's not working like that
Fourth
I reccomend to apply for the future version of SF possibilities to see all changes in main window (including gain, descreening, and sharpening) in real time process. All other RAW converters can do this. SF cannnot. The preview button is not the best choice. I reccomend to see all editing in real time in main window.
Fifth
SF does not applying to the processed images EXIF data, like other converters. (Or I still don't know how to do it) Exif is shown in VLT but not in processed image in my ACDSee. Can it be improved?
Best wishes to you and Good New Year 2006. Let your SF have many improvements for your pride and money and ours satisfaction and workflow.
