I think I may have requested begin able to save as an IBM tif from the photoshop version but it appears Mac Tiffs can be opened on Windows 2000 or higher.

How about saving to PDF? Sometimes I get pages that have to go through OCR and it would save a step if I can get them in PDF format from the start. Then I can just open them in Acrobat and capture the doc.

What about just scanning them straight into Acrobat Vs saving them and then opening them in Acrobat? It sounds like you are scanning text and there is an option to create a PDF from a scanner or Windows WIA built into Acrobat.
