Photoshop Integration

I am a new Silverfast user and am already here with several new feature requests. I would dearly love to see real integration with Photoshop. The integration provided is only through a file open interface. Although it may seem trivial, I have approximately 5000 photos to scan and the level of integration adds three steps to every scan and ultimately a great deal of time (Save to File, Close Silverfast, Open File). A memory transfer (as typically found in other scanner software would result in significant time savings.

Dear Muskyhunter.

There are two ways to open SilverFast:
1. Open from SF Launcher
2. Open from PhotoShop directly.

Please be sure to open SilverFast from PhotoShop directly. In SilverFast go to the main floater and select the "General" panel. Check the setting of the "Scan Mode" popup. If you select "Normal" instead of "Normal (File)" SilverFast sends the scanned image directly to its host application (PhotoShop).

Muskyhunter,

Nice to see another Minnesotan in the Forum. I am also new to SilverFast, I got it with my EPSON 4870. Had the same problem and and Eric's suggestion should work.

I also purchased the SilverFast?: The Official Guide. It has proved invaluable.

Regards, Bob

Thanks for the help

Thanks a million for the help. That does correct my problem. I looked in all the wrong places to accomplish this!

Also, hello to Bob, as you will agree this is the best time of the year to be sorting these things out!

Thanks again,
Frank
