Watermark, Web Portfolio and Consolidation

1. I would like to see Watermarking in any or all of your products.

2. I would also like the ability to export a web portfolio (with watermarked images). One where I can place my logo into the page layout and have a selection of templates. Photoshop doesn't do it very well, nor does iPhoto, nor does Picasa (for windows) although I would say Picasa does a better job than both PS and iP.

3. You need to consolidate your programs. They are too much alike and it makes it difficult to choose. Perhaps you need a comparison chart.

4. Better noise reduction. I think Noise Ninja has a few points up on GANE.

5. I think users should be able to access the Apple menu and the other menus when the program is open. seems to me you are violating some kind of UI Apple statute by not making them accessable.

Thank you.

Dear MGilvey

thank you very much for your valuable comments :)

(1) and (2) I did post into our development database as new feature requests. (5) had already been posted in there.

(3) I asked marketing already some weeks ago to publish such a checklist portfolio or a kind of "Which version for me?" guide, and so I am confident that a at-a-glance SilverFast variant comparison shall be online soon.

(4) Perhaps you are missing out the luminance and color noise correction filters which are available from the advance picture settings options.
These are available when working with camera raw data files, i.e. in DC Pro (Studio), the new DC-VLT, and HDR Studio.

Kind regards

(4) I have DCPro Studio and haven't done much with the RAW settings (also didn't know that those controls were there). The reason I haven't done much with the RAW settings is because, they don't look like they can be batched in the JM or can they?

Follow-up:
(5) is longer already for some time, now.

Unfortunately I have to tell that (1) will not be available due to programming limitations in a SilverFast 6.x software.

However, it is not possible to tell what the further future might hold.

Thanks for revisiting this thread :)

Fine regards
