It would make scanning of 120-filmstrips much easier if I could enter a number for the spacing between the frames. The spacing of my 6x4,5 frames is different from the default spacing painted on the Polaroid SS120 filmholder. Only the first frame matches the markings. To scan the other four I have to use the 6x7 or 6x9 markings to get the full negative, which of course makes the scanning a bit slower.

Dear Jan Mark,
The problem is, that the spacing is definded by the hardware / firmware of the scanner.
One possible solution: We enlage the prescan area in gerneral. But this will help only if all spacings are equal and larger than the defaults. But this brings up a problem with spacings smaller than the defaults.
I think that there is currently no other solution, than using the bigger filmhoder.
We don't know if its possible to build in (by scanner manufacturer > firmware / hardware) a function like "scanframe offset" (known from the Nikon film scanners). This function enables the user to adjust the beginning of each image idividualy.
We try to contact the manufacturer.

Gerhard,
Get Mr President to speak to David H at Polaroid . They have a work around. I think your suggestion of overscanning is pretty close and VERY doable.

Five months since the last entry. It would be interesting to know if the President has contacted Polaroid and if so what did they answer.
I also would like to know how to scan panoramas 24x60 mm.
