After reading Ian Lyons' tutorial on Job Manager, I think it would be great if you could make it available for flatbed owners. For my scanner, the Epson Expression 1600, for example, you could have a way to select between 35mm, slides, Medium Format, and Large Format, and Silverfast could scan each area of the flatbed.

I don't know if this would be practical because of the near-precise alignment that would be needed, but it's an idea.

that's of course a good idea. We are thinking already about this solution.
I tested it on a fladbed scanner exactly with this combination. It worked very well, but we have to check and test it on more (all available) scanners. This takes some time.
