I work as a photojournalist in Berlin, Germany. Most of my colleagues are using the Fuji 400 Press negativefilm. The Superia 400 profile doesn't apply very well to this film. Could you create a profile for the press 400?
Thanks a lot, Christian

p.s. slidescaning with calibration works out very well on my nikon LS2000, thanks

Dear Christian,

thanks for the tip!

We try to get the reference negatives. If copies are available for this special film we will produce the profiles.

Ditto Fuji Press 800, new Fuji Superia 1600, Fuji Neopan 1600 (BW).

On another topic, any tips on how to compensate for background black when scanning neg contact sheets on a flatbed scanner?

A final question/suggestion: any way to implement Negafix profiles so that they are seperately downloadable as they become available, like the IT-8 reference files?

Thanks for a great product.

Dear Muchello,
currently new NegaFix profiles are imported by way of software update.

Thanks for your reply.

I am aware that new Negafix profiles are loaded with each software update. It is a clumsy process that involves trashing the old Silverfast folder, running the update installer with extensions off (Mac), re-serializing the plug-in, re-serializing the IT8 calibration, re-calibrating, and re-entering preferences, then seeing if the new profiles are the one(s) you need.

It would be much simpler to drag-and-drop new Negafix profiles into a folder.
