The Silverfast software needs a batch prescan added to free up the users time. This in particurly import for those of us with slower manchines. I spend to much time doing the prescan one by one, starting then waiting for it to finish then starting the next ect..

However once they are done, I can flip back and forth between them in job manger. You need to set it up so I just prescan all frames, walk away, and come back, edit all, ane then do your wounderful "Batch Scan to File."

Thank you for working so hard on a great products that saves me so much time, I just allways want more!

Robert

PS Your auto focus beats Minolta's manuel focus by 100% Minolta on the scale is usually only 50% of possible. Your program nails it spot on all the time.

Dear Robert Mosher.

What about the Overview feature within the vertical button bar from SilverFast. This feature creates a fast Overviewscan which you can then edit into the Jobmanager. Please refer to chapter 6 in the manual which you can download here --> http://download.silverfast.com/ai/docs/ ... Ch6-en.pdf

Kind regards.

I also think an important feature missing from SF Ai 6 for Minolta 5400 is a batch prescan feature (which IS a feature of Minolta's software for this scanner). The overview scan will get the images into the JobManager but I must then still do individual prescans to optimize cropping, focusing, etc. Also, prescans and scans come out mirror-imaged even with proper orientation of the emulsion side (away from light source).

Read the sections suggested. Problem is there is no batch prescan fuction. While the Index is a new and good feature, it does not make up for loosing batch prescan.
