First of all, thanks for the new manual. It`s very good. Now my question:Will the different manual autofocus options ever be available for the Powerlook 3000?According to Quatograghic they will be available for their new 3k scanner, which seems to be the same as the Powerlook 3000.

Dear Stefan,
The Umax Powerlook 3000 don't have a fully manual autofocus as known from e.g. the Epson GT12000. But there are two modes of autofocus:
a) plus/minus 0.6 mm around level "zero", which is exactly the upper surface of the fladbed and
b) plus/minus 0.6 mm around level "+0.6 mm" which is 0.6mm above the upper surface of the fladbed. This one is recommended for framed slides.

Thanks for your reply,Gerhard, but how can I get those two modes and their variations in SF 5.5?When I push the autofocus button I can switch between autofocus and manual focus. But how can I get "plus/minus 0,6mm" within the two modes?.

The two autofocus modes for the Umax Powerlook 3000 are supported by SilverFast Ai revision "?r13" (Mac) and "?r09" (Win) or later. These versions should be on the web, or should come asap.
The 3k will be supported soon ? with the same focus functions.
