I have been using SilverFast Ai for a couple of months now and I am still climbing the learning curve. Like all world class software it takes time and perseverance to learn how to use the program properly. One of the most powerful features I have learned to exploit is the ability to remove color castes in Negafix. However, is there any compelling reason why such corrections must be saved as a new profile before the scan can be initiated?
Certainly, it would be a useful option if common problems (e.g. unfiltered fluorescent lighting) could be corrected by a custom profile but in most cases I use this feature to correct a single frame with a unique problem. Every time I must save the correction with a standard name and ignore the portentious warning that I am about to overwrite an existing profile.

Dear nmoss,

Yes, currently there are some compelling internal reasons why corrections have to be saved as a new profile! But the developers think about changing the procedure. We will see ?
