Support for Epson 1670Photo and/or HP SJ3970c

Hello,
in the next days I'll buy a new scanner: I'm currently make my decision between the Epson 1670 Photo and the HP SJ3970c (both available in European/Italy market).
1) Do you plan to support these scanners in SilverFast AI? When?
2) Can I use HDR instead of AI in the meanwhile? The real question is: can the Epson/HP software bundled with the scanner acquire images in the raw format handled by HDR?
Thanks a lot.

Should I hope SilverFast Ai for Epson
1670 Photo will support MultiSampling?

Support for Epson 1670 unlikely to be implemented

I am sorry to break this bad news to you, but it isn't very likely that SilverFast will be able to implement support for the
Epson 1670.
However, we will try - but please don't expect a version ready for the market before the second quarter of 2004. And be prepared that there won't be such thing altogether.
And no: SilverFast for either 1660 or 1680 will not work, because the 1670 has a specific chip. It's no use trying.
