Maybe I am just not able to find it, but I would love a set of standard film ratios presets in the frame feature.

And secondly, the interface is, for my taste at least, very graphically cluttered and distracting. A modern clean minimalist interface might help the workflow focusing on the photo material scanned. Of course with the regular OS cursor in the first place.

Otherwise great software! Thank you to sticking to the art of the analogue!

I am not entirely sure what you want to configure.
For some scanners you can set the length and gap width for film strips (e.g. for panorama images) in the preferences' auto tab.
