Some Silverfast 8 problems/suggestions

I have to say I'm finding SF8 a lot more complex than it needs to be overall.
Generally I'd like to set the program up once and for all, it seems to have a tendency to keep resetting itself to factory defaults which then need changing. For example I never use autofocus and would like it set to off permanently, unless I specifically turn it on. But If I delete all frames to start a new job, autofocus is on by default.
I'd really like the program to just be permanently in batch scan mode too.
There's just a general lack of options to customise things which is disappointing.
I'd like to be able to change the colour of both selected and unselected frames. By default an unselected frame is grey, which on a greyscale image and white background is hard to see.
I'd like to be able to reassign keyboard shortcuts. In particular Delete Frame to the Delete key like Silverfast 6.
In Batch scan I can't add a minus "-" to a filename.
In scan dimensions I'd like to add my own presets, namely 266dpi which is what we usually use. I can't see an option for this.
When descreening an image, the 1:1 preview scans the image at 600dpi. This overrides what you specified in the scan dimensions without telling you.
If you don't exit the preview, the final scan is then carried out at 600dpi. Basically I'd like the image to be scanned at what I specified, not have it altered like this.
