I asked this question once and I will ask it again till I get a reply from LSI. How come there is no Auto Sharpen feature in SF. It is in the manufactures software and it is in my other version (Nikon). I find this feature great for taking away the softness created in the scan. I do not want to use Unsharp masking because it treats the image
differenly.

Auto-Sharpen and SilverFast Ai

Auto-Sharpen was built into SilverFast SE versions since there was no Unsharp Masking dialog. In fact the Unsharp masking dialog only allows to do more settings variations such as "White contour" and " Dark Contour" etc.

The next version of SilverFast Ai (Version 6) will have an Auto-Function inside the USM-Dialog that can be chosen.

Thank you very much. When can we expect version 6?
