Kind sirs,

I'm a registred user of SilverFast Ai STUDIO to use my Linoscan 2650 SCSI/FW on OS X system. Now I've bought a new Mac Pro Intel without a SCSI card, so I don't to be able to use the scanner because the software is not compatible with FW connection.

I'm waiting for to update the SilverFast Ai STUDIO to the version 6 when I will be use it.

Please, someone can tell me if and when is it possible to do this update?

Dear Larry,

This scanner cannot be used with the FireWire port, because there is no FireWire driver available.

So your problem is a SCSI connection problem with your Mac Pro.

Probably there might be only one solution to get the scanner connected to your Mac Pro by using a FireWire to SCSI converter like the : Ratoc FR1SX.
