LaserSoft Imaging

I have a Linotype Saphir flatbed scanner that stopped working. It is running on a mac os 9.1 connected via scsi cable. I've replaced the scsi card and cable (scsi card wasn't showing up in the apple system profiler), and it displays the card, but I still can't get the scanner to work. The three led's on the scanner just blink sporadically, so it appears to be a problem with the actual scanner.

Any ideas?
