Color Correction when Batch Scanning Negatives
PostPosted: Mon May 09, 2011 9:30 am
Hi there,
I recently obtained a Canoscan 9000F to use it for scanning my 35mm and medium format negatives. While everything else seems to be clear to me I cannot figure out how to properly use the color correction tools when batch scanning several frames of a film slide.
After Prescanning I create all of the frames I want to scan and set the proper film brand and resolution. Then I select the first frame and color correct it via the histogram and the curve tool until it looks good. So far so good - my problem is that as soon as I want to color correct the second frame the appearance of my first frame changes as well, although it is not selected. Sometimes the appearance even changes as soon as I just select the next frame without using any of the color correction tools. I must be possible to color correct each selected frame individually isn't it? What am I missing or what am I doing wrong?
It would be great if anybody could help me on this one.
Thanks a lot!
