Dear LaserSoft,
When scanning negative's or reflecting material I get it in mirrored version.
No problem if I used the Canon software (ScanGear).
My version of SilverFast is SE6.5.5r4.

Mirrored scan with SilverFast/Canon 8800F (XP)
Dear Eprom
please check SilverFast's "Densitometer" window (can also be docked to the scan control / main window). This feature rotation and mirroring buttons that work for rotating and/or mirroring the final scan while not changing the preview.
On the other hand, the mirroring and rotation buttons on the vertical button bar of the preview window will also change the final scan's orientation.
Best regards

Mirror scan
Dear Sonny,
Thanks for the reply. I am able now to scan the correct way.
However, the preview is still in mirror. Can that also be changed?

Dear Sonny,
Thanks you so much again!!
What are the thoughts behind it that mirroring can be done by pressing the knob that is labelled "flips the preview horizontally or vartically"?
To avoid above mentioned problem why not a separete knob to switch between normal or mirrored mode?
Also, if a subject is placed on the right site of the flatbed glassplate, it is on the left side of the preview window if it's not in mirrored mode.
One thing I have to tell you that I am very pleased with the SilverFast software. The quality of the scans are far better than with the ScanGear from Canon.

Dear Eprom
indeed that button are actually two in one (horizontal flipping/mirroring and vertical flipping/mirroring). It is realised in the software as one button for historical reasons, but I very well see your point in separating these distinct functions and instead giving them an optical signalling (e.g. changed button back colour) function if activated.
