Install Photoshop-Plug without Photoshop

I have SilverFast 6Ai but I am unable to use it in OS X because I have not yet an OS X-Photoshop version. Graphicconverter supports Photoshop-Plugins but is not recognized by the Silverfast installer. Any hints how to install the carbonized SF-Plug for Graphicconverter?

You can use SF_App, the stand alone application for all SilverFast products:

I have installed SF_app. After the window where I have to select the plugin there is a message that it is not able to find any scanner.
With Espon TWAIN I find the scanner on the same machine.

As far as GraphicConverter is concerned, you should maybe ask them directly if they support PS plug-ins under OS X. Indeed, they only mention a support of TWAIN-import since v4.4
