LaserSoft Imaging

I have Microtek ScanMaker 8700. I have discovered that there is no support for this scanner to be use with Mac Leopard OS through this web site. I am on Tiger OS with SilverFast version 6.4.4r2. Please advice why there is no support or any other suggestions work around to use my scanner.
