LaserSoft Imaging

Hi!
I noticed that my scanned slides are soft when scanned in the "Positive"-Mode. The point is that I put them in without the frame. Could it be that the scanner "expects" them to be mounted in a frame, so that the focussing-point of the scanner lies some millimeters beyond the film-surface?

I think this is quite likely, and I suggest you want to frame them and try a comparative scan. Any better?
