It8 calibration

Hello,
I am using Silverfast Studio 8 to calibrate an Epson Expression 10000 XL on a brand new 27in iMac running Mountain Lion os. I actually have the exact same set up on 3 identical computer/scanner systems. On one of the computers the automatic calibration went perfectly, but on the other two, the software is unable to find the reference file, which is not on the computer and I cannot find available for download. I am using the same target that worked on the first computer but it is from an earlier version of Silverfast. Do I need to order a new target? Could something have been messed up on install?
I have tried different targets (one other silverfast one monaco). I have moved them around the scanning bed.
Thanks ahead of time!

Dear customer,
The reference files for LaserSoft Imaging Targets are
available from our website.
The right file is identified by the id below the bar code.
For targets from other manufacturers the reference files have to downloaded from their website.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

I just bought an Epson Expression 10000 XL that needs color calibration and we are using an iMac with SL. I have been trying to find out if I can generate a successful scanner profile with SilverFast. SF recommends trying out the software in demo mode before making a non-refundable purchase, but, unfortunately the demo does not allow me to make a profile. I have been unable to contact anyone at SF by phone or email.
We are scanning artwork for reproduction and need very high color accuracy. We you able to attain this with the profiles you created for this printer?
The profiles that (apparently) come with the product in demo version are not providing good color accuracy. I am not sure even what profiles SF is using in demo mode and am suspicious that they may be using the profiles Epson installed on my computer, as the color shifts are similar to the output I get using the Mac drivers.
I'm trying to get a sense of whether SF is going to give me what I need before throwing away a huge bundle of money.
Any advice you could give me would be appreciated.

Dear Kenoli,
The
demo can not calibrate.
The
IT8 calibration is only available in the full version.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Hi.
I've scanned the traget and saved the file in question, but now: what is the next step?. Do I have to scan each slide or target before scanning for each picture or slide?
Thanks for your attention.

Dear customer,
What are you trying to achieve?
The
IT8 calibration is an automated function in SilverFast
Ai Studio.
There is no need to save the target.
The calibration process creates the necessary profile, saves and activates it.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
