When I scanned using SF6.x, the Exif CreateDate/DateTimeDigized was written to the file metadata. This is not happening with SF8. Am I missing a setting?

The meta data can be set through the IPTC button in the scan dimensions dialog.

Are the IPTC settings not available in the SE Plus version (8.x)?

Yes that option is only available in SilverFast Ai (Studio).

Thank you for this information. I am very disappointed that a basic function which was included in SF6 Se plus (writing the scan date to DateTimeDigitized in the metadata) is no longer present in SF8 Se Plus. Unfortunately, this makes Silverfast less useful than other software for my purposes. I hope you will consider restoring this function to this version of Silverfast.

I misunderstood you there.
I thought you wanted to edit the metadata.
The creation date should be set in the exif metadata and at the moment it seems this works as it should.

Can you tell me which application does not show the creation date?

I use Lightroom 4, but am also working with metadata using ExiftoolGUI. I did fresh scans with SF6 and SF8 (both SE Plus). The SF6 scan shows the current date in the EXIF:CreateDate/DateTimeDigitized field, but the SF8 image shows no date in EXIF:CreateDate or any of the other metadata date fields.

Hello,
when will this problem be fixed? It seems to exist still in AIStudio 8.01 r17 . Create date is shown by default as "today" wit the wrong month e.g. "26.00.2012" - month as "00". The wrong month cannot be changed.
