Hello. I am a first time user of this forum but avid photog. I am running XP64. Photoshop 64 bit does not see the scanner but Photoshop 32 sees the scanner and works just fine. Silverfast Ai does not see the scanner. The scanner is recognized by XP64 in the device manager and the drivers are the latest available from Canon for 64 bit OS's. I have removed the hardware and reinstalled with no success. I have searched the forums for similar problem but not found it. Any suggestions where to start? I am looking for dust and scratch removal software for the Canon 9950 and came across SF Ai. Thank you. Zemo

Dear CaptainZemo,
Dear CanoScan 9950 users,
There are some specific libraries required in the Canon driver for SilverFast to work with the scanner. Aparently the 64 bit O.S. drivers for this scanner do not contain the required data. Our programmers are studying the possibility of a workaround for this issue.
At this time we can not tell for sure if it will be possible, and if so, when will it be possible to support this scanner model under 64 bits windows operating systems.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Kind regards

Hello LSI,
Have there been any updates for the Canon 9950 to work under a 64 bit operating system? It's been 10 months since the last post.
I am very interested in using this software.
Thank you.

Dear CaptainZemo,
Unfortunately we have not been able to overcome the issues with the
canon driver.
It is also uncertain that
Canon will implement the required protocols in a driver
upgrade.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
