Tiny Grid using SRD

Hi,
I'm using a Epson V700 with SE.
Scanning a slide @ 6400dpi... In the SRD dust removal widow the grid is made up of tiny squares. How do I make the squares bigger? ie select a larger area to inspect for dust/scratches?
Thanks, Chris

Dear Chris,
The size of the grid is directly dependent with the scanning resolution. The higher the scanning resolution, the smaller the squares of the grid.
Cheers

The problem there is that it takes forever to insect every little square for dust/scratches...do you have any suggestions?

Dear Chris,
My suggestion is to have some patience, it is necessary to perform this step in the actual output resolution because it requires a lot of precision.
The other option would be to scan your pictures in 64 bit HDRi format and then process them in SilverFast HDR, the only thing is that you would need to have the HDR program to be able to do that. However doing this reduces the process times because the files are already scanned hence HDR does not need to drive the scanner.
